Description

In 2022, a day on control of PDEs entitled «A day on control of PDEs» was organized on Thursday 27 October 2022 at the Polytechnical University Hauts-de-France (UPHF, Valenciennes), where six scientific lectures were presented. Given the success of this day, the research teams in Analysis of Partial Differential Equations, specifically in control theory, of the mathematics research units of Calais, Lille and Valenciennes have decided to extend the organization of this event by elarging it to three days and a regional co-organization by rotating the various sites in the future, starting in 2023 at the UPHF.  15 presentations by international scientists are planned. A poster session and two sessions of 4 short presentations (20 minutes) will be organized to give the opportunity to  doctoral students or young researchers to present their results.This conference is also addressed to Master’s or PhD students interested in this theme.

Registration

The registration are free but mandatory. A poster session and two short lectures (20 minutes) will be organized. Those interested in presenting a poster or a short presentation have to mention it when registering and to submit a title and an abstract. These will be examinated and validated by the organizing committee.

By train

To arrive to the Valenciennes station, it takes 1:50 from Paris Gare du Nord or 30 minutes from Lille Gare de Lille Flandres. Check the web site of the French railways for other departure locations. From Belgium, consult the site SNCB Europe. At the station, take the tram direction “Université”. Leave at the last stop of the Tram (Station Famars Université), the IMTD building  is nearby.

By car

On the highway A2 (Bruxelles–Paris), take exit 21 in direction of Université Mont Houy. Then follow the tram lines until the roundabout direction Trith Saint Leger — Livraison Université where you turn right (first exit). At the next roundabout, turn left (second exit) and enter the University campus. After the gate, turn right and follow the road untill the road crosses the tram. Just after the tram you find some parking. Then follow by feet the tram lines up to the last stop of the Tram (Station Famars Université), the IMTD building  is nearby.

From Valenciennes city center

Take the tram direction “Université”. Leave at the last stop of the Tram (Station Famars Université), the IMTD building  is nearby.
